STAFF

Doug Lamb – Senior Pastor Doug’s deepest desire is to glorify God by being fully satisfied with Him. Since coming to Fannin in 1992, he has considered it a priviledge to serve the wonderful people of this Church, and to see some of the amazing things God has done. His vision is that he and the people of Fannin increasingly help people become more like Christ. Doug is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. After earning his bachelors he then went on to earn a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary. He and his wife Lisa were married in 1988. They have two daughters Taylor and Sydney. When Doug is not at Church he spends time with family, friends, exercising, riding his bicycle, reading, or building things.

Jan Hixon – Music Minister Jan has been a believer for as long as she can remember. One of the greatest blessings she has been given is being able to worship in song with the Body of Christ. Her prayer is that God would allow her to lead others into His presence while doing so. Jan graduated from UTPB in 1992 and is currently attending Seminary in pursuit of a Masters in Arts of Worship. She married her best friend Byron in 1989. They consider themselves blessed to be raising two godly young men, Clint and Connor, for the Lord. Other than her Lord, Jan considers these three men to be her greatest treasures.

Mark Taylor – Family Pastor Mark is a Midland native, although he has lived on both the east and west coast. In 1987 Mark graduated from Texas Tech University and worked with statistics in various industries until around 2000. Mark and his wife Dana then moved to the east coast to work as house parents in a group home with teenaged boys. They then moved to North Carolina so he could attend seminary and they continued to work as house parents, this time with adolescent boys. In 2005, they moved to Midland to work as the children’s and preschool minister here at Fannin. Mark and his wife Dana have two children, Jake and Marcie. Mark’s ministry goal is to have families that learn and grow together. To think that the church can teach our children, our teenagers, and ourselves how to follow Christ in a few hours a week is foolish. What the church can do is give families the tools to do this teaching in the home and partner with them in these efforts. This is my goal.

Becky Hamilton – Preschool and Children’s Minister Becky loves children and finds great joy in serving this group of people. A member of Fannin since 2005, she is most encouraged by seeing children come to know the Lord and follow Him with reckless abandon. Becky graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Behavioral Science. She is also a certified teacher. Becky is married to her high school sweetheart and best friend, Brandon, since 1999. They have two sons together, Braylon and Blaine. Becky enjoys vacationing with her family, reading, playing the violin and watching her boys play sports.

Adam Conkle – Student Minister Adam joined Fannin Terrace as the Student Minister after moving from Southern California in Fall of 2013. He and his wife, Laura, have three daughters. Prior to making the move to Midland, Adam served in Jr. High and Sr. High student ministries in Orange County, CA. He counseled youth as a K-12th grade Interventionist in public schools and as a Juvenile Correctional Officer in probation camps. He received his Masters from the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University, and also holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Adam spends his free time playing and reading with his daughters, working on his house, doing woodworking, web design and video editing. He enjoys spending time getting to know youth, share the love of Christ and His Word with them, and equip them to spread the Gospel to their friends and communities.

Laura Conkle – Director of Mother’s Day Out Laura Conkle joined Fannin Terrace Baptist Church as the director of the Mother’s Day Out ministry. It is her joy to serve the local community in this way and spend time with these precious little ones. Laura’s desire is to bring God glory, serve families in the community, and to teach preschoolers about the love of God.

Laura moved from California in Fall of 2013 with her husband, Adam. They have three daughters. She has taught elementary school children for 7 years, both in the United States and abroad. Laura holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology.

She has a masters degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Her husband Danny and their three children are, next to Jesus, the most important things in her life.
