I just got this email this morning…
Dear brother Doug,
Greetings from the metroplex! My parents are very elderly, and remembering special, happy days in their lives. One of the MOST SPECIAL was that our family got to be part of the founding of Fannin Terrace. The first meeting of the Fannin Terrace Baptist mission was on 2/28/1960.
My parents want to come for the 50th anniversary of that day (which is on a Sunday this year, too). I wanted you to be aware of the date, even if you were not planning to have any special recognition. If their health holds, and the weather holds, (my brother will fly us out that morning in a small plane - much simpler for old folks than commercial airports), we will see you then!

That is an incredible email. One of this couple’s greatest memories is that they were a part of the founding of Fannin Terrace. I would hope that the joy this family had in starting this Church so many years ago, would be the same joy we experience as we continue God’s work today at Fannin Terrace.
