Title: Special Help
Its always nice when kids volunteer to help, usually they do it out of a selfish nature. But yesterday I had two children help with some visitors. I won't name them online, to save them a wave of searches or email scams, but it was a great thing to behold. One was a young girl who came out of nowhere to volunteer to take a visitor's child to the sixth grade class. The other one was a boy in our 1st/2nd grade class who tried to help a reticent visitor come into class. This young boy really went out of his way to make the visitor seem comfortable, and even when the visitor wouldn't stay in class, followed him into the hall and told him "Its okay I was scared the first time I came here, but maybe we will see you next week."
As a pastor, it is very encouraging to see the Spirit working in the hearts of these young guys and gals. Thanks to all who support our children's ministry, by teaching, praying, helping out, and just being here.
