Title: Ecclesiastical ramblings...

I love the book Ecclesiastes. I read it with the changing of every season. Each time I read, God unfolds something new to me. There is beauty in the fact that there is no remembrance of things as Solomon says, not of former things, nor of later things yet to be. God has created us to exist within the confines of time. Daily he puts things before us to accomplish, and only by doing those things can we be fulfilled.  All else is as chaff in the wind. Depressing? Not really. Think of all the mistakes you make each and every day, both small and large. Isn't it a blessing that God allows those to be blown away in the wind, never to be held against us. Remember this day as it begins with the blessing of rain, that the wisest man that ever lived summed up the good life in this way. There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. Chew on that today while you look to God to see what toil he has set before you today.
