Title: Sonia Sotomayor
A new Supreme Court Justice was sworn in this past weekend. We need to pray for her as she, along with the other eight justices of the Supreme Court, carry a heavy responsibility. Here is what I have prayed:
Dear Heavenly Father, bless Sonia Sotomayor as she serves as a Justice for the Supreme Court. Help her to find joy in the work that You have placed in her hands. Guide her so that the rulings she makes will secure and advance the liberties and freedoms that our founding fathers worked so hard to establish. Help her to rule based on the truth, the Constitution, and the law, rather than simply on her own opinion. Above all, lead her to a deep, reverent, and profound fear of You, and let her actions and decisions on the court reflect that. Amen
