Title: UGH!

Well that is the way students put it now.

It is an "effective" way of letting all those around you and across the world wide web know that you are dragging, something is bothering you, you're tired, you're upset, maybe agitated, angry, confused, and come to think of it; it appears to cover the entire gamut of negative emotions one could possibly have.

Does that clear it up for you?

If you're still experiencing or have started to experience ugh! (confusion), I would like to congratulate you and welcome you to student ministry.

Today, and the past four days, has been full of ugh!  Questions unanswered, frustration, confusion, and the feeling hat something unsettling is taking place around me.  I am in a place where I need God to reveal things unseen and show me what has been hidden from me.  I am looking constantly, never ceasing to think upon what has tied my gut in knots; yet I still find myself turning in circles.

This morning I was on my way to the office when Air1 quoted a verse from Matthew:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
- Matthew 11:28-30

God of Wonders give me rest from the burdens of my mind, and let me cast my cares upon you for you are capable where I am not, you are strong where I am weak, you give peace when I face strife, and you provide comfort when I am uneasy.  I pray for a steadfast heart in light of difficulty that I might not rely on my own strength, understanding, or love.  But that your love, strength, and understanding of all that goes on around me can be made known in the deepest parts of my soul; for my yoke is hard and my burden is heavy.

Grant me peace and rest as I seek your face in the midst of all around me.
