It is amazing how fast this school year has flown by us and now we are staring summer time activities right in the face.

We have a quick start to the summer schedule beginning in May with our Senior Recognition Day Sunday, May, 17 in both the 8:30 and 11:00 AM services.
Parents we are in need of pictures for your student and the bio sheet that was sent to you in the mail a couple of weeks ago.  I need those by this Sunday May 10 if at all possible so I can have the slide show put together in a timely manor.  After the 11AM service we will have a reception hosted by the juniors and sophomores where the people of FTBC will have the opportunity to view tables set up and decorated by the families of all our graduating seniors.  Parents will also need to get me the one page letter to their student by the 10th.

June 1-4 is Survivor Leadership Camp in Canyon Lake, TX where students will rough it in the outdoors while competing in challenges that will push them to grow in their maturity and their ability to lead a group of their peers during any given situation.  Night or day, tired or rested, gross or not; they will be surviving the elements while exploring God's plan for them to be leaders in the Body of Christ and to those around them.  The cost for this trip is $125 and the $50 deposit is due by May 17 in the office.  The $50 is part of the total cost of the trip.

June 15-19 is Student Life Camp in San Angelo, TX at Angelo State University.  This is a great opportunity for students who have been "in the church" forever, those who have been occasionally, or those who have never stepped foot inside.  It is a great week of fun, games, music, worship, and a time to get to know all the students at FTBC.  The cost for the camp is $310/student and the $50 deposit is due no later than May 24.  After this date I cannot take any more students because our final numbers will be due to Student Life by that Monday.  The $50 deposit is part of the $310 that it cost for the camp.

I am excited about all the 12 or so students that will be traveling out of the country to Canada or Moldova during the month of July.  I pray they have a safe trip and enjoy the time they have to spread God's message around the world.

So as you can see we are off to a fast start and there will be more to come as the summer progresses.
