Ever notice that when you tell people you have been called to serve on a jury, they give you all sorts of unsolicited advice on how to get out of it. Now no one really wants to serve on juries, but nevertheless we live in a country that was based on the duty of its citizens to help manage the government. Our hypocrisy, ine inlcuded, is interesting to me. At the same time we complain about having to go to jury duty, we also complain about career politicians and bureacrats. If our Congress were to go back to citizen legislators who weren't compensated for their time, I wonder how many would indeed volunteer to serve? Just a question.
