Title: Parents and Schools

What is it about parents dropping their kids off at school? What is it about that event that causes what are probably normal people to have a break with all things normal and respectful? For example, why would a parent stop their car in the middle of the road, (blocking the traffic), let their child out, and then pull over to the curb to watch the child walk up to the building? Are these people not aware of the line of cars building up behind them? I have noticed that parents seem to stop thinking about what is proper, respectful of the others round them, and legal when they drop their children off at school. I don’t get it. Is there a positive in all this? I think there is one to be found. If the Midland police department would send an officer to each school, they could add a good bit of money to the annual budget by the number of tickets they pass out. See, there is always a positive way to look at things.

Name:
Thanks to my God-given desire to avoid conflict, whenever I'm blessed with my once a week opportunity to drop my son off at school, I'll usually opt for the side entrance; thus avoiding the congestion, ignorance and thoughtlessness of my fellow parents of students! Recently though my son insisted I take him around the front since we were running behind. After dropping him off and attempting to exit around the pile of cars in front of me I nearly hit a lady entering the cross walk! After the look she gave me I realized that maybe I'm the idiot! The side entrance is my path from now on.

Love you brother!
