I know life can be hard, but I think it becomes much easier when we come to the understanding that it's not what we get but what we give. Then, understanding that the giving is part of the plan that God has for his people. That's when this verse and the surrounding book comes alive. The joy that is recieved from just having the mind set of putting others first. Big concerns become smaller. Heavy work becomes a little easier to complete. Then the crowning thought is no matter how this giving is recieved it's all to the glory of God. Which gives us the largest christian paradigm. Everything that come into our life, every plan change, every inconvenience, every step forward or backwards is to be accompanied with the phrase. Blessed be your name O' Lord. because, it's all about him.
