Fannin Terrace Baptist Church Staff
![]() Dr. Douglas P. Lamb Senior Pastor Douglas is the son of Joan Lamb and the late William E. Lamb Jr. With his father in the military, the family lived in several locations including Hawaii, where Doug was born. The family settled in Texas in 1973. Douglas holds Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a major in Humanities. He earned the Master of Divinity (M. Div.) with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. This was followed by his Doctoral work at Reformed Theological Seminary where he earned the degree Doctor of Ministry (D.Min). His work experience in the field of church service, which began in 1981, includes music, and pastoral ministry. He was granted a ministserial license in April 1985, and was ordained to the Ministry in August 1990 by Castle Hill First Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. Doug came to Fannin Terrace Baptist Church in April of 1992. Since his arrival at Fannin Terrace, the church has undergone several transitions. From building and expanding the staff, to adding a contemporary service and recently completing a new Worship Center, Fannin has smoothly navigated the changes. In addition to serving at a great church, Douglas considers himself privileged to work with "one of the best staffs around." He looks forward to the years of service ahead as the Church continues to increase it''''s effectiveness in leading unchurched people into a visibly committed, growing relationship with Christ and their community. His greatest possession is his relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Douglas'''' passion is to find his greatest joy in Jesus Christ. He enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and daughters Taylor and Sydney. Reading, exercising, building "things", and visiting with family and friends take up the rest of his free time. |
![]() Barri Evans Music Minister I was born in Denison TX and then moved to Brownwood TX on my first birthday. I was raised in a Christian home with very supportive parents, Ben & Iva Nell Evans, and I’m the youngest of four children. I came to know Jesus Christ at a very early age and as a teenager felt a call into “Full Time” ministry but never acknowledge it to anyone. I moved to Sweetwater TX in the Spring of ’85 where I attended “Texas State Technical College” and earned a degree in Automotive Computers. At this time I felt that I could no longer ignore God’s calling of me into “Full Time” service. In the Fall of ’87 I left Sweetwater to attend Baptist Bible College in Springfield MO as an Music Education Major with a Minor in Bible with the intent to serve in a Full Time Capacity in Music Ministry. While at BBC I was involved in many ministries including Traveling singing groups and local church ministries. I met my wife-to- be, Kimberly Melaine Piearcy while at college and we were married August 11, 1990 in Midland TX and without Kim our ministry would be impossible. We have two beautiful girls Hadyn Olivia and Masyn Victoria. We left BBC, in Spring of ’91 to start work at Trinity Baptist Church, of Abilene TX where I was the Minister of Music and produced Trinity’s television program. I also taught the singles bible study, S.E.L.L. Group (Singles Excited in Life and Living). In August of ’95 Kim and I moved to Camarillo CA. to work at Faith Baptist as head of the music department and teaching the singles bible study class and eventually had the position of Administrative Pastor added to my list of responsibilities. In October of ‘99 we accepted the position of Minister of Music/education here at Fannin Terrace Baptist Church.
We are very happy working here and I have great ambitions for the Music department and all the ministries at Fannin. We are very blessed with the amount of potential we have at Fannin and are very excited about being apart of this great work of our lord. |
